Więcej informacji: I’m independent and resilient – went to boarding when 6 yrs old. Parents abroad so no family until I was 10 yrs old. Left school at 17 yrs. First job working on the docks in France. Returned got a job as a clerk, 3 years later promoted to assistant manager in New York, returned to UK, got married, had two children, moved companies, worked in Germany, then got a job managing the UK subsidiary of a large American company. Travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and America. Finally worked for a management consultant. After many very happy years of marriage, about 5 years ago my wife's health started to deteriorate so, in 2021, sold the house in London and moved to Worthing - I felt sea air would be good for her. Sadly she died in October 2022. I have been very fortunate in having had a long and very happy marriage. Our children have turned into truly amazing and loving adults - our son was very ill for a few years but perseverance and luck led eventually to his recovery. My move to Worthing has been a great success. People have more time than in London, and are much nicer as a result. I love walking along the promenade and chatting to people along the way. As things turned out, although in a hurry to buy, I managed to get a lovely flat with a balcony and 180° view of the sea. Sunrises, and sunsets are often amazing and I very much enjoy being close to nature, and going for long walks up and around, for example, Cissbury Ring which is only 10 minutes away by car. My interests are art, architecture, travel (especially to Italy), reading, classical music. I was my wife's sole carer for over 5 years, which precluded any kind of a social life. Now I very much want to share life's pleasures, which for me are much more pleasurable if shared. I know that close relationships that last take time, commitment and trust to develop.
